All adults who are able are invited to join a monthly fast for peace to commemorate Gandhi's lessons, and promote peace within ourselves, our communities, our countries, and the world.

Inspired by Gandhi's own personal and national fasts in India, the fast for peace is no food, water only, for 24 hours that is mostly on the 15th of the month. Gandhi recommended a dinner-to-dinner fast when he called for national fasts.

Fastforpeace.org promotes Gandhi's lessons of truth and nonviolence, tolerance, voluntary temperance, simplicity, and self-control, and encourages incorporation of these ideas in our personal, social, and political lives. More information is available on our website.

Thanks to the GandhiServe foundation for its work sharing the resources and archives of Gandhian ideas!
